What a difference a full week makes! While I love and celebrate all of the Jewish holidays to the fullest extent, boy was I grateful for a full week of school this week- and I think the kids were too! We had a great and busy week enjoying all of our specials, and really got the full extent of our routine and we did GREAT!
In circle and in Hebrew we have been learning about Fall. Thank goodness the weather finally cooperated too. We are learning
about the changing leaves, and their colors (in english and hebrew). Now we are just waiting for them to fall of the trees so we can make leaf piles. Our favorite books about fall are "Mouse's First Fall", "Let's Look at Fall" "Arthur Jumps into Fall" and "Fall is Here- Counting 1-10". All of them are available through the Cincinnati Library System.
I hope you have stopped by to enjoy our pictures and artwork on the bulletin board outside our room. The technique used to paint the leaves was marble painting. We placed the leaves in a box with paint drops and a few marbles and the kids moved the box around to make the design.
This week we experimented with Q-tip paintings. The kids really enjoyed this!

We finally got to see Mrs. Smith in Gym. We played with hula hoops- jumped in and out of them, rolled them on their sides, balanced on them- it was lots of fun. Mrs. Smith asked that everyone remember to wear gym shoes on Thursdays.
Just a few housekeeping items:
- Please remember to check you child's backpack. Important things do get sent home that way.
- Please send in a new change of clothes for the cooler weather for your child's box at school.
Have a great weekend!
Debbie
